What a great turnout for the show!
The morning started in a relaxed manner – Trying to keep those show nerves at bay! I was stewarding in the in-hand section all morning, giving me a great chance to see everyone in their best (not puffing and panting as they run I mean!)
Note to self – WORC needs to start a running club…
The weather was fab, not too hot, dry and not much wind - The riding classes were less busy than the in-hand, but the quality was still there for the judges to enjoy. A large thank you goes to Jane Dudley and the Lower Haddon team for providing such lovely rings. The old turf and large size meant the showing competitors could really strut their stuff and give great performances throughout the day.
I think nearly every helper we had on the day was wearing club clothing, looking very smart and professional as a smooth operating team. A huge thank you to all the helpers on the day. Running around with entries, rosettes, cameras and water bottles - the Showing shows are the new WORC social events for everyone to have a good catch up and natter.

I hope everyone had a good day. Lots of children were at the showing, but the ‘Prettiest Mare’ classes etc. were not very well attended, so next time we might not run these classes again. Instead we will focus on the more traditional classes like “Best Turned out, M&M’s etc.” Please do let Sarah know if you have any feedback from the show, we do try our best to please.
There will be another showing show in the autumn so do keep your diaries on standby for the date to be announced shortly.
