There was much for our club to be proud of on Thursday at Blenheim Palace (11.09.14). On the whole the West Oxfordshire team did a great job in the eventer challenge with Jas and Mel rolling two poles each and Abi just knocking the one. Unfortunately Pigeon took a dislike to the triple brush this year leading to elimination for Alex. Photos and Mel's helmet cam video are now in the galleries! Far more important though was the lunchtime presentation of a cheque to the World Horse Welfare. Due to a great turn out at the 2014 WORC Open Show we were able to donate £1000 to this wonderful charity. You can be sure that the money will go far and will be much appreciated by the many ponies whose lives will be enhanced as a result!

A huge well done to our club competitors who went to the National Dressage and Riding Test championship at Lincoln over the weekend. Martina Compton came home with sixth place riding Rusty in the Novice 34 dressage test. Although the juniors (Morgan-Beth Crockford, Bethany Kara Howard and Georgia Emily Amer) are not sporting rosettes they should all still be very proud to have qualified to represent WORC at this level. Everyone had a great weekend enjoying the sun and the special atmosphere that comes with the national championships!

Congratulations to Abigail Whelan and Georgia Amer who have both qualified to compete at the Verdo Horse Bedding Dressage to Music and SEIB Quadrille Championships In October!
Georgia and Mosaic IV are qualified for the junior prelim class and Abi and Lewis will contest the senior novice freestyle.
For those who are free the weekend of 4-5 October please do come along to Bury Farm, Slapton and support our entrants. As added incentive Georgia will join our 2013 champion, Morgan-Beth Crockford, Marnie Long and Claire in a quadrille performance with an aeronautical twist on Saturday October 4th!
Brush off those dancing shoes peeps!
We are also very proud to have a junior team and senior individual heading to Lincoln on 6-7th September for the NAF Magic Riding Test Championships!
The very best of luck to all our dressage divas...

Further to the recent EHV news, we request that members who have been hunting with their horse in the last 3 weeks do not enter our dressage competition on 13th April. If you have any queries please email firstname.lastname@example.org. (04.04.13)

It is with great disappointment that I write to inform you that we are postponing the dessage Show on 17th Feb. The outbreak of EHV locally is of great concern and the risk of infection is so high we feel that we cannot take this risk. We are hoping to re-schedule for the 3rd of March pending confirmation from Worton. An e-mail will be sent to confirm the date.
If you still wish to enter I will hold your entry fee for the next date. However if you wish to withdraw please let me know and I will destroy your cheque.
I am very sorry for this bad news but horses welfare has to come first and I feel it would be irresponsible to run such an event knowing the current information that we do.
