Competing

Throughout the summer season WORC runs a series of dressage contests held at local venues. We also run a low level show jumping series, perfect to increase confidence and prepare combinations before joining our teams. These competitions are open non-members as well as WORC members and are fun and low key. Dressage classes are offered from Intro to Elementary levels in addition to Dressage to Music for all the dancing ponies out there! Show Jumping classes start at 2 foot for the inexperienced and go up to 2'9" assuming we have sufficient entries on the day.

Every July also sees WORC's annual Open Show for those with a flare for showing and show jumping. In 2014 onwards we added dressage and gymkhana games too.

We always welcome offers to help at these events so if you have a few hours free and fancy mucking in please do email us!

WORC regularly send teams and individuals to represent the club at our area qualifiers in several disciplines. There are qualifiers in dressage, dressage to music, horse trials, eventer challenges, show jumping and endurance. With so much variety there really is something for everyone so why not get in touch about representing the club!

We are usually required to provide helpers when we compete at qualifiers so if you are available please do email us! A fun day out is guaranteed!

WORC has achieved much success in our area qualifiers in the past resulting in the chance for teams and individuals to represent the club at the national level.

As with qualifiers we are usually required to provide helpers when we compete at national championships so if you are available please do email us! A fun day out (as well as cake) is guaranteed!
